Drivers must be between the ages of 25 and 70 to qualify for renting from St. John's Car Rental
A hold for the rental amount be placed on your credit card. When the vehicle is returned the hold will be used for payment (for Credit Cards) or released (is method of payment is cash)
All traffic tickets, along with payment must be submitted to St. John's Car Rental agent at time of return.
Any tickets not submitted at time of return, will appear as a charge of customers Credit Card.
Yes. we offer free island wide delivery and pickup.
Vehicles are returned on a daily basis (24-hour). There is a 30 minute grace period. After 30 minutes an hourly rate of US$10.00 is applied. After 2 hours a full day late charge may apply.
Yes, you can pay with a debit card at the end of the rental. BUT Debit cards cannot be used for the deposit hold.
We offer islandwide delivery & pickup. You may also from our office if you prefer. We have two physical locations – at the Car rental office at the V.C. BIRD International Airport and from our head office in the capital city of St. John’s on Branch Avenue which is near to the cruise port.
Additional drivers must be listed on the rental agreement and they must meet all the standard rental requirements.
Yes, we provide child safety seats on request. All children under 4 years of age must be transported in a child restraint system.
We accept all major credit cards EXCEPT American Express.
Payment is made during collection of your car in Antigua.
No Cash Deposits. You must have a working credit card. A hold will be placed on your credit card until the vehicle is returned.
If the customer does not hold a valid Antigua drivers license, you will need purchase a temporary drivers permit. This driver's permit is at a cost of USD $20.00 or EC$50.00 CASH. You can get this from our offices or from a police station.
Customers who have drivers licenses from other OECS islands are allowed to drive with these licenses in Antigua.
Some International credit cards offer their customers international travel insurance which would cover the CDW. Check with your card issuer.
Credit card coverages are usually secondary coverage. In that case you will first have to make a claim to your own insurance and your credit card company may cover the excess for comprehensive or collision losses. It’s best to call your credit card company’s prior to rental to confirm your coverage.
